About this site
Sentan Arch (先端アーチ) is a boat-dived reef off Nango on the Nichinan coast of Miyazaki Prefecture, about 15 minutes from harbour, with depths from 5 to 18 m. The feature is a rock arch that lights up when sun comes through it, and the shallow profile makes it suitable from beginner level. Turtles, spotted eagle rays, batfish, parrotfish and schools of silver-stripe round herring are typical, with schooling Moorish idols in winter. Current is rare, but when it runs there is a chance of larger fish.
