About this site

Neptune's Finger lies off the coast of Baja California Sur, in the waters near the southern tip of the Baja California peninsula where the Sea of Cortez meets the Pacific. This area around Cabo San Lucas is known for its rocky underwater formations and is typically reached by boat from the nearby marina. The site is a pinnacle with a wall bottom, reaching a maximum depth of around 33.5 metres and rated advanced. Grouper, mobula rays, and sea turtles are regular sightings here, and divers have also reported eagle rays, guitarfish, manta rays, mola mola, nudibranchs, and reef sharks. Boat traffic in the area has been noted as a hazard, so awareness on ascent is worthwhile.
