About this site
Oki Daikoku (沖大黒) is a boat dive at Mikiura in Owase on the Kii Peninsula coast of Mie, fifteen minutes from the harbour, with a maximum depth of 40 m and an average around 20 m. It is Mikiura's main terrain site, with many large hidden pinnacles; the biggest tops out at 12 m and its base runs deeper than the usual dive limit. Fish are dense, with pelagic species in autumn and turtles in winter. Current at times, advanced divers only.
