Scoglio Est. P. Basana lies off Marettimo, the westernmost of the Egadi Islands, in the province of Trapani off the northwest coast of Sicily. The site sits along a stretch of rocky coastline typical of Marettimo's steep, limestone-edged shoreline, reached by boat from the island's small harbor. It reaches a maximum depth of around 39 metres and is rated a technical dive. Divers have also reported strong current here, adding to the depth as a factor to plan around.
