About this site
Rainbow Reef lies along the Jordanian coast of the Gulf of Aqaba, south of Aqaba town on the Red Sea, a stretch of coastline known for its fringing coral reefs accessible from shore or by short boat rides out of Aqaba. The site sits over a reef bottom with a maximum depth of around 18 metres and is rated a beginner dive. Divers have reported eagle rays, lionfish, lobster, moray eels, nudibranchs, octopus, parrotfish, scorpionfish, and wrasse along the reef.
