About this site

Ras Za'atar is a headland site on the Sinai coast near Sharm El Sheikh, along the stretch of coastline between Sharm and the Straits of Tiran that is dotted with rocky points and reef promontories reached by boat from local dive centers. The site is a wall dive reaching a maximum depth of around 50 metres, rated intermediate, with medium current to expect along the drop-off. Tuna are a regular sighting here, and divers have also reported barracuda, eagle rays, grouper, trevally, unicornfish, glassfish, manta rays, and even whale sharks passing through.
