About this site

Shark Observatory sits along the Sinai coast near Sharm El Sheikh, on the Red Sea within reach of the Strait of Tiran and the Ras Mohammed area's dive boat routes. This stretch of coastline is known for its reef walls dropping into deep water just off shore, and here the wall drops to around 40 metres with a medium current and generally great visibility, making it an intermediate dive. Barracuda are a regular sight along the wall, and divers have also reported angelfish, moray eels, parrotfish, pufferfish, sea turtles, Napoleon wrasse, and even hammerhead and whale sharks passing through.
