About this site
Blinded by a furious snowstorm, the Scotia ran onto the rocks of Keweenaw Point, and later broke in two when the winds shifted. Later salvagers removed much of her gear, and some of the hull. She had been sold to new owners only the day before. Lies in about 4.6 m; sank 1884.
