About this site
Kita no Ne (北の根) is a boat-dive site at Shizugawa in Minamisanriku on the Sanriku coast of Miyagi, seven minutes from the harbour, with a maximum depth of 15 m. Long, narrow reefs run parallel with strips of sand between them, making a good topography dive when visibility is clear. Intermediate and above. It is the northernmost site in the area and the most exposed to tidal flow, so some care is needed.
