About this site
The Cathedral lies off Lombok in West Nusa Tenggara, the island east of Bali across the Lombok Strait, and is reached by boat from operators based along Lombok's south or west coast. It is a cave site with a cave bottom structure, reaching a maximum depth of around 40 metres and rated an advanced dive. Divers have reported strong currents, downcurrents, surge, swell and negative entries here, so conditions can change quickly on descent. Barracuda, eagle rays, hammerhead sharks, mackerel, trevally and tuna have also been reported passing through the site.
