About this site
The Labyrinth lies in Nusa Tenggara Barat, in the waters off Indonesia's Lesser Sunda Islands chain, an area shaped by strong interisland currents running between the Java Sea and the Indian Ocean. This region includes the waters around Lombok and the Gili Islands, known for volcanic seabed formations and mixed reef and rubble terrain, and the coordinates place the site in the channel waters south of Lombok. The reef here reaches a maximum depth of around 30 metres and is rated an advanced dive. Divers have reported thermoclines as a hazard, along with sightings of batfish and manta rays.
