About this site
The Rozi is a tug boat scuttled off Cirkewwa on Malta's northwest coast in 1992 to create an artificial reef for divers. It sits upright on a sandy bottom close to the Cirkewwa dive site and the ferry crossing to Gozo, with a maximum depth of around 30 metres and a rating of advanced. The hull, about 35 metres long, is largely intact, and its structure, winches, and mast are popular for photography and penetration by trained divers. It attracts a resident population of reef fish and is often combined with a swim over to the nearby Cirkewwa reef or Coral Gardens in the same outing.
