About this site
The Ursus Wreck lies off Vis Island in the central Adriatic, out beyond Hvar and reached by ferry or dive boat from Split, with Komiza on the island's western side often serving as the base for these trips. The site reaches a maximum depth of around 60 metres and is rated a technical dive. Vis has long been tied to naval history, and its surrounding waters hold numerous wreck and reef sites, of which this is one of the deeper technical options.
