About this site
Blue Ribbon (ブルーリボン) is a reef site 25 minutes by boat from Hahajima in the Ogasawara Islands, Tokyo, with a maximum depth of 30 m. Over a carpet of Acropora coral, lines of large glasseyes hold station and unwary painted sweetlips approach divers, and holding still on the coral brings yellowback fusiliers streaming down like the ribbon of the name, with Guenther's butterflyfish, amberjack, fusiliers and schooling bannerfish. When the current runs it is fast; intermediate and above.
