About this site
Nishikaigan (西海岸) is a reef site 25 minutes by boat from Hahajima in the Ogasawara Islands, Tokyo, with a maximum depth of 20 m. The coral alone rewards the dive, and the reef life is varied, with schooling bannerfish, glass cardinalfish, amberjack, yellowback fusiliers and blotched fantail rays among the regulars. There is little current and the site is suitable from beginner level.
