About this site
Sango Garden (サンゴガーデン) is a coral dive site in the Makurazaki and Bonotsu area of Kagoshima Prefecture, with a maximum depth of 12 m and an average around 5 m, suitable from beginner level. Branching and table corals grow densely across the site, of a quality rarely seen even in Okinawa, with colourful reef fish among them. It is a relaxed dive, but good buoyancy control is essential over the coral.
