About this site
Fukojima Outside (フコ島アウトサイド) is a dive site in the Makurazaki and Bonotsu area of Kagoshima Prefecture, with a maximum depth of 30 m and an average around 15 m, for intermediate divers and above. A series of large reefs gives it a bold profile, with bright soft coral filling the crevasses. The big offshore reef holds schools of chicken grunt, surgeonfish and amberjack and is thickly covered in large sea fans.
