About this site
Okinoshima (沖ノ島) is a boat-dive site at Asahi on Toyama Bay, Toyama, further offshore than Nakanoshima, dived from an anchored boat with a maximum depth of 24 m and an average around 15 m. Fish life is among the densest on the Hokuriku coast, from schools of yellowtail and red sea bream to gobies on the sandy mud, with plenty of nudibranchs for macro. Current can be fast at times; intermediate and above. Descent is along the anchor line or a descent rope, which suits divers who dislike free descents.
