About this site
Icho Ne Minami (イチョウネ南) is a boat-dive site off Kamakura on the Shonan coast of Kanagawa, with a maximum depth of 26 m and an average around 16 m. It is a large circular reef carpeted in soft coral and sea fans, some as tall as a person, making it a colourful, garden-like dive. Intermediate and above. The cracks hold longtooth grouper over 2 m and Asian sheepshead wrasse, with giant trevally on occasion, and takabe and stripey school alongside moorish idols and butterflyfish.
