About this site
Shirahama (白浜) is a shore-entry site at Kashiragashima in Arikawa, in the Kamigoto area of the Goto Islands, Nagasaki Prefecture, with a maximum depth of 10 m and an average around 6 m, suitable from novice level. It is a swimming beach with clean sand. Neon damselfish and pennant bannerfish live around the surrounding rocks, and shrimp gobies and snapping shrimps are common on the sand. It is used mainly for training dives.
