About this site
Mitsuse (三ツ瀬) is a boat dive on three pinnacles in the Kamigoto area of the Goto Islands, Nagasaki Prefecture, ranging from 10 m to a maximum depth of 35 m with an average around 17 m, for intermediate divers and above. The draws are bold topography and soft coral, with large flounder from May to August, spiny lobster in the rock crevices (a torch is useful), and large schools of fusiliers, yellowstriped butterfish (takabe) and chicken grunt weaving through the gaps. It is sheltered from northerly winds, so it can be dived in winter, and dolphinfish and skipjack appear in summer.
