About this site
Takigahara (滝ヶ原) is a shore-entry site on the south side of Wakamatsujima in the Kamigoto area of the Goto Islands, Nagasaki Prefecture, with a maximum depth of 18 m and an average around 10 m, suitable from novice level. It is sheltered from northerly winds, so it can be dived even in winter, and steps make entry and exit easy. Underwater there are corals, soft coral and sand; further out an artificial fish reef sits in good water flow where pelagics can be seen. The inshore section is used for training.
