About this site
Kamitaka Ne (カミタカ根) is a boat site off Shikinejima in the Izu Islands, Tokyo, with a wall dropping from 10 m to 35 m and plenty of ups and downs. Good tidal flow brings pelagics; maximum depth 35 m, average around 20 m, intermediate to advanced, with current that is fast at times. Takabe, fusiliers and chicken grunt are joined by large longtooth grouper on the bottom, along with amberjack, big schools of jacks, angelfish, emperor angelfish and anthias.
