About this site
Moya Ne (モウヤ根) is a boat site off Shikinejima in the Izu Islands, Tokyo, a large reef with many crevasses and caves giving complex, varied terrain. The numerous holes hold sweepers and pinecone fish, and a torch is needed; maximum depth 30 m, average around 15 m, intermediate and above, with current. With a good tide large pelagics can appear, and anthias schools, chicken grunt, takabe, amberjack, angelfish, largescale blackfish and anemonefish are typical.
