About this site
Kasase (傘瀬) is a boat-dived pinnacle off Tanegashima in Kagoshima Prefecture, about 20 minutes by boat, with a maximum depth of 18 m and a huge rock on shore as the landmark. Boulders with occasional large rocks run down to 10 m, then sand takes over and an anemone field spreads across the bottom at 18 m. The resident anemonefish have grown to a large size, and emperor angelfish make a warning sound when approached. Intermediate and above.
