Kejiri

Kejiri (毛尻) is a boat dive at Owase on the Kii Peninsula coast of Mie, five minutes from the harbour, with a maximum depth of 16 m and an average around 13 m. Boulders spread out from shore onto clean white sand from about 10 m, and two large hidden reefs a little further out hold schools of jacks, chicken grunt, blue-and-yellow damsels and stripey, along with moray eels, lionfish and butterflyfish. Rays hide in the sand, several Japanese bullhead sharks from 20 cm to 1 m can be found together in season, and sea turtles have been seen. Little current, sheltered from the winter north wind, suitable from beginner/novice level.
