About this site
Kinbi Ne (キンビー根) is a boat site off Shikinejima in the Izu Islands, Tokyo, a large reef rising from 25 m thickly covered in sea fans, cup coral and soft coral with anthias swirling around it. It offers a high chance of pelagics; maximum depth 28 m, average around 15–20 m, intermediate and above, with current. Amberjack, large schools of takabe, striped beakfish, largescale blackfish, big parrotfish, longtooth grouper, angelfish, sweepers, boarfish, rainbow runners and anemonefish are typical.
