About this site
U no Ne (鵜ノ根) is a boat site off Oura on Shikinejima in the Izu Islands, Tokyo, a reef with hills and valleys that give it varied topography. Anthias and chicken grunt live on the reef and amberjack pass at times; maximum depth 25 m, average around 12–20 m, suitable from beginner level, with slight current. It is also a resting place for sea turtles, and anemone shrimps, angelfish, anemonefish, blennies, lionfish and takabe are typical.
