About this site
Tomari Minato (泊港) is a shore-entry harbour site on Shikinejima in the Izu Islands, Tokyo. Heading left out of the bay leads to a reef rising from around 18 m covered in soft coral and sea fans, visited by amberjack and other pelagics; maximum depth 20 m, average around 12–15 m, suitable from beginner level, with current when moving offshore. A route to the right is available for advanced divers with attention to the tidal flow, and anemonefish, stripey, anthias, banded coral shrimp, parrotfish and domino damselfish are typical.
