About this site
Motoyashiki (元屋敷) is a shallow boat-dive site at Asahi on Toyama Bay, Toyama, dived from an anchored boat, with a maximum depth of 12 m and an average around 8 m. Descent is along the anchor line or a descent rope, which makes it a good first boat dive and an easy site for anyone unsure about equalising. Gentle current; suitable from beginner level. Lumpfish, nudibranchs, red sea bream, Asian sheepshead wrasse, flounder and flathead are typical.
