About this site
South Corner (サウスコーナー) is a boat dive off Okinoshima in Sukumo Bay, Kochi Prefecture, with a maximum depth of 30 m and an average around 10 m. It is the site to target hammerhead sharks, which cruise below 20 m, but the currents arrive from all directions and are complex, so it is best treated as an advanced site. Fish life is dense, with green sea turtles, dogtooth tuna, amberjack and threadfin trevally, and dives are run only when conditions allow.
