About this site
The Gold Coast Seaway sits at the northern tip of the Gold Coast in Queensland, Australia, where the Nerang River channel is stabilised by a rock wall to give boats a passage out to the Pacific Ocean. The Promenade steps refer to an entry point along this rock wall on the eastern side, used by shore divers to access the water without a boat. The Seaway is a well known local access point for divers in the area, sitting near the Southport Spit and the surf beaches of Main Beach and The Spit.
