About this site
The Gold Coast Seaway sits at the entrance channel between the Broadwater and the Pacific Ocean, on the border of Southport and Main Beach in southeast Queensland. The South-West Wall runs along the rock and boulder training walls that stabilise this artificial entrance, a spot dived by local operators out of the Gold Coast. It is a shallow dive, reaching a maximum depth of around 5 metres, and is rated a beginner site. The Seaway is known for strong tidal flow given it is a dredged shipping channel, so the dive is generally timed around slack tide.
