About this site
Saguri Se (サグリ瀬) is a boat-dived pinnacle off Nango on the Nichinan coast of Miyazaki Prefecture, 20 minutes from harbour, with depths from 5 to 30 m and a large rock that rises from 40 m. It is one of the sites most exposed to the Kuroshio from the south, and the fissured rock offers dramatic terrain with fish and nudibranchs on its faces. The deeper part holds pairs of longnose hawkfish and several anthias species, including sunburst, squarespot and red-bar anthias, plus rare nudibranchs. Current at times; recommended for Advanced divers.
