About this site
Shizuma Beach (志津摩ビーチ) is a shore-entry site at Inatori, Higashiizu, on the east coast of the Izu Peninsula in Shizuoka, with a maximum depth of 15 m and an average around 5 m, suitable from beginner level with no current, and with an entry slope. The shallow depth makes for relaxed diving over bright white sand. Green sea turtles, Japanese bullhead sharks, eagle rays, fanrays and a range of nudibranchs including yellow sea-butterfly slugs are seen here.
