About this site
Senzokudai (センゾクダイ) is a boat-dive site at Yatsu, Kawazu, on the east coast of the Izu Peninsula in Shizuoka, with a maximum depth of 23 m and an average around 12 m, suitable from beginner level with little current. It is a large rock lying about 40 m north of Sazae Ne, with sand on its south side; following the reef east leads to the leader net of a fixed fishing net. Whip corals along the base carry whip-coral shrimp, flounder and snake eels live on the sand, and pelagics and sea turtles are common near the net, along with eagle rays, yellowtail, chicken grunt, red sea bream and grouper.
