About this site
Tosan (藤三) is a shore-entry site at Inatori, Higashiizu, on the east coast of the Izu Peninsula in Shizuoka, with a maximum depth of 15 m and an average around 5 m, suitable from beginner level, with current at times. Entry is from the small harbour in front of the Ginsuiso hotel, and an underwater guide rope makes navigation simple. Loggerhead turtles, frogfish and gobies are seen on the reef, with pelagics, eagle rays, Japanese bullhead sharks and banded houndsharks further out.
