About this site
Carter Reef is part of the ribbon reef system on the outer edge of the Great Barrier Reef, off the coast of far north Queensland near Lizard Island. It is one of the many outer reefs reached by liveaboard trips running out of Cairns or Port Douglas into the Coral Sea approaches.
