About this site
Twin Rock (ツインロック) is a boat-dived reef off the north of Tanegashima in Kagoshima Prefecture, about 27 minutes by boat, with a maximum depth of 18 m. Two large rocks stand at 15 m, and a little further out a wall of rock about 10 m high rises sheer from the seabed. Schools of white trevally, yellowfin goatfish and bluestripe snapper ball up thickly enough to block the view, and groupers including tomato, coral and honeycomb grouper shelter in the shadows behind sweepers. Intermediate and above.
