About this site
Tatarajima (多々良島) is a relatively shallow, relaxed boat dive in the Shimogoto area of the Goto Islands around Fukue, Nagasaki Prefecture, with depths of about 3 to 18 m, suitable from beginner level. At around 15 m a large plate coral is home to striped beakfish and groupers. The shallows hold many corals with bigfin reef squid eggs and assorted butterflyfish in the gaps, and damselfish, wrasses and cardinalfish school in midwater.
