About this site
The USCGC Bibb rests off Key Largo in the Florida Keys, sunk in 1987 as part of an artificial reef program along with its sister ship, the USCGC Duane, to create diveable wreck sites in the area. It is a former Coast Guard cutter lying on the seafloor near the Duane in the waters off Key Largo, with a maximum depth of around 39.6 metres and visibility generally described as great. Diving the Bibb is rated advanced, and divers should be mindful of entanglements, obstructions, and strong currents that have been reported at the site. Barracuda and grouper have also been spotted around the wreck.
