About this site
Yagodomari (ヤゴドマリ) is a boat-dive site at Bikuni on the Shakotan Peninsula, Hokkaido, about twelve minutes from Bikuni harbour, with a maximum depth of 20 m and an average around 10 m. The dive is an unhurried loop around the site at 18–20 m through oddly shaped rock formations, including boulders with bathtub-like hollows and others that look man-made. No current; suitable from beginner level. Horse mackerel, surfperch, sardines and sand lance form schools, and the site is used for naturalist and fish-identification training.
