About this site
Maguro Ana (マグロ穴) is the best-known dive site in the Ogasawara Islands, Tokyo, a two-hour boat run from Chichijima, with a maximum depth of 30 m and an average around 12 m. A large natural arch, visible even from the boat, is the centrepiece, and dogtooth tuna circle beneath it. Whitetip reef sharks, sand tiger sharks, fusiliers, striped large-eye bream and drummers are also seen; current runs here and the site is for advanced divers only.
