About this site
Isomura (イソムラ) is a boat-dive site at Katsuura on the Boso Peninsula, Chiba, five minutes from Nagairi harbour, with a maximum depth of 35 m and an average around 15 m. The rock terrain is large-scale and dramatic. Current runs through the site and it closes when the flow is too fast; intermediate and above. Schools of yellowtail, yellowtail amberjack and amberjack pass through, with big schools of chicken grunt, horse mackerel and takabe, and resident anthias, Japanese bullhead sharks and conger eels.
