About this site
Maguro Ne (マグロ根) is a boat-dive pinnacle at Namegawa in Katsuura on the Boso Peninsula, Chiba, with a maximum depth of 27 m. It is a big, exposed site with bold rock terrain, and when the tide runs from the west the fish arrive in numbers. Current is present; advanced divers only, with fifty or more logged dives expected. Eagle rays, amberjack, Asian sheepshead wrasse and yellowtail are typical.
