About this site
Komori Minatomae (小森港前), in front of Komori harbour, is a dive site in the Makurazaki and Bonotsu area of Kagoshima Prefecture, with a maximum depth of 25 m and an average around 15 m, suitable from beginner level. The dive follows channels between large reefs over white sand. Garden eels, gobies and rays live on the sand, while anthias, purple queen anthias and butterflyfish gather around the reef, and corals, soft coral and anemones support plenty of crustaceans and nudibranchs.
