About this site
Nekonikobanne (ネコニコバンネ) is a boat dive 20 minutes from Chichijima in the Ogasawara Islands, Tokyo, on a rock formation whose base sits at 30 m, which is also the maximum depth; the average is around 16 m. Dropping down the deeper parts turns up macro life such as pygmy seahorses and longnose hawkfish, along with red spiny lobster, coral and arc-eye hawkfish and damselfish. The current is strong and the site is for advanced divers only.
