About this site
Oyayubi (親指) is a boat dive at Ugurushima in Sukumo Bay, Kochi, with a maximum depth of 35 m and an average around 10 m. Sea turtles appear in the shallows, the sand is full of shrimp gobies, and schools of amberjack and threadfin trevally pass over them, with spotted eagle rays and sharks at times. Holes between the rocks can be swum through, and frogfish, ghost pipefish, seahorses and juvenile boxfish are among the smaller finds. Current only very occasionally, suitable from beginner level.
