About this site
Prince Mae (プリンス前) lies in front of the Nango Prince Hotel at Nango in Nichinan, Miyazaki Prefecture, five minutes by boat, with depths of about 3 to 10 m, suitable from beginner level, with little current. The bottom is almost entirely sand, and the site stays relatively diveable even when typhoons bring big waves. Shrimp gobies are the highlight, with frogfish and large seahorses also found, and the simple-looking sand rewards patient searching.
