About this site
Usami Senro (線路) is a shore-entry site at Usami, Ito, on the east coast of the Izu Peninsula in Shizuoka, with a maximum depth of 8 m and an average around 5 m, suitable from beginner level with no current, using the beach slope and guide ropes. Several lengths of railway track run straight along the bottom. In summer they are hidden by kelp, but in winter the tracks are clear to see, and nudibranchs are especially plentiful.
